Ratner Companies - Bubbles Salons - 37 Different Locations

Experience Overview

I Managed the POP Program every 6 weeks for 37 Bubbles Salons from Creative Ad Turn-In Meetings through Final Distribution and Execution. 


What made this program unique and challenging was distribution matrix for the various station counts and product availability, which required a detailed set of instructions for the POP vendor as to what salons received which items every 6 weeks.


Core Competencies

  • Entered all job specifications into proprietary job management system.
  • Prepare request for bid specifications, and send to selected vendors.
  • Maintain accurate price quotation data for all projects/vendors quoted.
  • Mitigated risks on projects by creating contingency plans and recommending solutions, proactively engaging in problem solving.
  • I developed an understanding of how the teams I was working with overlapped & I always worked to improve processes based on those learning's.


Added Value

  • Advised internal stakeholders, on economic print formats, to derive cost efficiencies for print campaigns.
  • Assisted Merchandising Department through process improvements with Monthly Promo Recap document.


Quantifiable Results

  • Analyze job revenue, cost and profitability for POP Projects, as well as manage quarterly and yearly POP budget progress with analysis and reporting.
  • Worked within established program budgets and maintained daily tracking and analysis of benchmark budget information.
  • Managed $72K Annual Bubbles Salon POP Program Budget
  • Annual Holiday POP Savings Year Over Year For Bubbles Salons $15K. Managed through creative print procurement strategies.

COST SAVINGS - CIBU Glorifiers

Saved the company money in marketing print efforts of CIBU Glorifiers as well as increasing the quality of this particular printed materials through transition from Digital Printing to Offset Printing.

Ratner Companies - Hair Cuttery - 800+ Different Salon Doors

Experience Overview

I Managed the POP Program every 6 weeks for 800+ Hair Cuttery Salon locations from Creative Ad Turn-In Meetings through Final Distribution and Execution.


Additionally once the POP was in all 800+ Salons I also managed the Web Tracking for Help Tickets that the Salons would place if something was missing from their Kits and coordinated and worked with the POP vendor and our internal mail room fulfillment center, to ensure those tickets were taken care of before the program start date.


Hair Cuttery Salons were divided up into three distinctions for the POP:

General, Multicultural, & Mens

The distinction was related to the primary clientele as well as the retail product line available and sold in the salons.


Core Competencies

  • Manage all aspects of production with vendors on behalf of the client, conferring with vendors concerning delivery timetables and maintaining current status of assigned projects at all times.
  • Manage external vendor processes, pricing and production of monthly POP program and attended monthly press checks.


Added Value

  • Trained 3 POP Marketing Solution Vendors through salon walk process on multi-brand opportunities and capabilities for store signage and graphic installation wins.
  • Managed vendor meeting & coordinated a process for improving kitting, packing and fulfillment with the goal and purpose of reducing monthly help tickets from Salons.
  • Added efficiency for salon professionals with POP rollouts, through new vendor procurement for monthly hangtags.


Quantifiable Results

  • Developed new and different and creative executions for 2016 Holiday Décor elements, while saving the company $65K from prior year’s Holiday Décor Budget.
  • Attended Global Shop 2016 Annual Retail & Signage Conference & Expo and cultivated business relationships with new printers and vendors for Ratner Companies, resulting in an annual savings of $23,000+.
  • Managed & analyzed $600K+ annual POP budget with analysis & reporting maintaining daily tracking & analysis of benchmark budget information.
